Buffers and Polishers for Auto Detailing

Auto detailing rotary buffers and orbital polishersProfessional Buffers and Polishers featured by Detail King include both orbital polishers ( like the Cyclo Orbital Polisher, Gem Orbital Polisher and the Porter Cable Random Orbital Polisher ) and rotary buffers ( such as the Dewalt Rotary Buffer, Makita Rotary Buffer and the Milwaukee Rotary Buffer ) for auto detailing.

The difference between rotary buffers and orbital polishers:

Orbital polishers can be used to correct very minor repairable imperfections in automotive paint. Orbital polishers will not "level out" scratches in the paint, but only fill those scratches in with automotive polish or glaze. Every professional auto detailer needs an orbital polisher to offer basic polishing and sealing services for vehicles that do not need the more aggressive paint correction that high speed rotary buffers provide. Check out our article on buffers and polishers in the Auto Detailing Articles section on this web site.

Rotary buffers provide a more aggressive paint correction than is possible with orbital polishers. Rotary buffers rotate the head of the buffer through revolutions. These revolutions are circular and are called RPM's; revolutions per minute. Most quality high speed rotary buffers are variable speed meaning you can adjust the buffers speed anywhere from 0-3000 RPM's. Rotary buffers are usually used with "paint leveler" products to remove imperfections like repairable medium to deep scratches, wet sanding micro scratches, spider web swirls, paint oxidation, water spotting, and orange peel markings. Please note: Without practice and proper training it is possible to cause damage to painted surfaces with high speed rotary buffers. We offer hands-on auto detailing training courses, both private group training, and training at our weekend auto detailing training seminars. Check out our Makita, Dewalt, and Milwaukee high speed rotary buffers and our Cyclo, Gem, and Porter Cable random orbital polishers below. These polishers are a great way to apply your final coat of protection to a painted cars surface. You can use these buffers to buff out scratches created when you wet sand.
