Day 2: Professional Auto Detailing "Hands-On" Training Clinic

This will be a very unique opportunity to actually see how to professionally and proficiently detail a car. You will actually work "hands-on" with the trainers as they physically perform the correct car detailing procedures and methods. You will have the use of the pressure washers, buffers, polishers, extractors, detailing supplies and Detail King’s "Professional Line of Auto Detailing Products."

Hands-On Auto Detailing Training Includes the methods below that will be used to detail 3-4 vehicles at the training seminar with our professional trainers. Our trainers have over 71 years of combined experience! You will be actually detailing a complete vehicle from bumper to bumper. Our hands-on training classes are not just “demonstrations & tutorials” but the total hands-on process & methods of a complete professional auto detail. The same type of detail you will offer your customers and charge them $150-$250. We will also show you how to dye carpets, repair automotive paint chips, remove acid rain from automotive glass, dye plastic door handles & trim and remove odors with Ozone.

Exterior Hands-On Detailer Training Includes:

1. Customer interview to determine what the exterior of their vehicle needs.
2. How to select proper brushes & cleaners for that particular job.
3. How to properly and safely shampoo/detail an automobile engine compartment.
4. Cleaning of car wheels, tires, wheel wells, bug and tar removal methods.
5. Proper wash-up, claying, & prep of vehicle prior to detailing (wash bay).
6. How to determine what buffing method to use for automotive paint correction.
7. How to choose what type of buffer pad, glaze, or compound to use.
8. How to wet-sand severe scratches complete with live demonstrations.
9. Proper method for applying & removing final cote of protection.
10. Tire, engine and auto trim dressing & conditioning procedures.
11. Auto Glass cleaning method for smear free car windows & mirrors.
12. Final wipe down and inspection.
13. Presentation of completed detail to customer.

 

Interior Hands-On Detailer Training Includes:

1. Customer interview to determine what the interior of the vehicle needs.
2. Proper vacuuming and air purging of auto interior carpets, car seats, pockets, etc.
3. Proper method to safely clean a cloth headliner & when to avoid.
4. Proper cleaning procedure for all automobile vinyl & leather components.
5. How to proficiently clean & detail all car interior cracks & crevices.
6. The use of a hot water interior soil extractor for cloth car seats & carpets.
7. Proper method to dress & condition automotive vinyl, leather & plastic trim.
8. How to apply fabric protection to auto interior components.
9. The use of an Ozone Generator and when to use it.
10. Automotive glass cleaning method for smear free windows & mirrors.
11. Cleaning of gauges & dash board.
12. Final touch-up, inspection & presentation to customer.
