Auto Detailing Training
Detail King offers two types of detailer training. Our most popular is our Auto Detailing Marketing & Hands-On Training Seminar which is held usually one weekend per month here in Pittsburgh, PA. We limit class enrollment up to 30 students. Day one is an intense, information rich detailers marketing class, day two is “hands-on” professional auto detail training class. The cost of the two-day event is $299. Our next 2 Day Hands-On & Marketing training seminar is May 17th - 18th in Pittsburgh, PA. We also offer a Three Day private auto detailing training course which is also held at our new 3,000 square foot training center in Pittsburgh, PA. This course is for detailers/entrepreneurs who want more individualized instruction for themselves or their employees. The class size is usually no larger than three or four students and must be scheduled in advance. Day one (usually on a Friday) is the marketing class. We teach you how to market your auto detailing business and sell auto detailing services to potential customers. This course is identical to our marketing class presented at our seminars. Day two and three are hands-on training. Day two is car exterior training, day three is car interior training.
Automotive Exterior hands-on training includes: Prep stage wash-up, engine shampooing, bug and tar removal, wheel cleaning, tire cleaning, door jamb degreasing, final wash-up. We also teach the student how to properly use a rotary buffer, orbital polisher, and dual head random orbital. The student will also learn what choice to make regarding pad and buffing product selection. The student will also be instructed the proper dressing methods and final detail inspection and presentation to customer.
Automotive Interior hands-on training includes: Instruction on how to vacuum, air purge, clean automotive vinyl; leather, headliners, glass, plastic, dash boards, consoles, door panels, and complete car interior cleaning and detailing stages and methods. The student will also be taught how to dress and condition vinyl and leather interior components. Special attention given to the instruction of the proper methods for carpet shampooing and extractor procedures.
The cost of this Three Day private detailer training course is $1495 for three students and must be reserved a few weeks in advance. Auto Detailer Training Manual - We have developed a 50-page detailer training manual that tells you how to market your auto detailing business. It will teach you what markets to target, how to price your services, up-sell your customers, and organize your business. It is an excellent operating guide that will introduce you to the auto detailing business and even give you step by step procedures to professionally detail a car. We also include sample ads, service menu, and door hanger, detail check-list, service contracts, marketing reports and more. It is well worth the $60.00 investment.
