Super Blue Tire & Rubber Shine
-
Super Blue Tire and Rubber Shine is our silicone-based tire enhancer, and the sheen it puts on rubber is hard to match. The shine runs deep and lasts, and a freshly dressed set of tires changes how the entire vehicle looks.
Highlight specs:
- Silicone formula bonds to rubber for a deep, glossy black finish
- Solvent-based carrier stays on tires longer than water-based dressings
- Undercarriage-safe: doubles as a dressing on plastic and metal components
- Significant product savings when applied through the Tire Dressing Applicator Tank
- Watermelon scent, VOC compliant, non-flammable, detergent resistant
The carrier is a solvent rather than water, and that is the durability difference: solvent-based dressings anchor to the rubber and shrug off the minor rainstorms, while water-based dressings sit lighter and wash away sooner.

- Shields tires against road spray. The silicone bonds to rubber and builds a protective film, so tires brush off water and mud instead of holding onto the grime that fades them.
- Restores the deep black tires lose over time. Rubber quickly dulls to a grayish pigment; Super Blue brings back the rich, bold color and keeps the sidewall lustrous.
- Protects more than the tires. It doubles as an undercarriage dressing, guarding exposed plastic and metal against rust, staining, and corrosion.
- Made to be worked hard. The formula is detergent resistant and VOC compliant, and it leaves a watermelon scent instead of a harsh solvent smell during application.
-
- Clean the tires first. Scrub off dirt and grime with our Tire Cleaner w/Darkening Agent so the dressing bonds to bare rubber, not road film.
- Apply by hand with an applicator. Use an Automotive Tire Dressing Applicator and work the product between the grooves and lettering for even coverage.
- Use the applicator tank for the cleanest results. Our Tire Dressing Applicator Tank with a Brush limits how much product you use, lays down an even film, and keeps dressing from slinging onto your paint.

Super Blue is a solvent-based, silicone formula that delivers a deep high-gloss black and stays on the tire longer than water-based dressings. The silicone bonds to the rubber to repel road spray and restore faded sidewalls. It also protects undercarriage plastic and metal, so one product covers more of the vehicle.
-
Professional detailers reach for solvent-based silicone dressings like Super Blue when they want durable, high-gloss results that survive between details. Many professional detailers apply it through an applicator tank rather than by hand, which saves a considerable amount of product as well as labor time, and lays an even film with no sling. Shops choose it for the wet-look finish customers notice.
-
Sling comes from applying too much dressing, not the formula itself. Apply Super Blue with a hand applicator or the applicator tank, which meters a thin, even film onto the sidewall and keeps product off the tread. Make sure to even out excess dressing and allow it it to set up before driving, to avoid sling.
-
Because Super Blue is solvent-based, it anchors to the rubber and outlasts water-based dressings, which can rinse off in the first rain. A single application typically holds its shine through a week or two of driving, though exact longevity depends on weather, mileage, and road conditions. Fewer re-applications means less product used between details.
-
Solvent-based dressings like Super Blue use solvents to carry the active ingredients, giving a high-gloss finish with strong durability and longevity. Water-based dressings use water instead, producing a more natural matte or satin look with moderate protection. Solvent-based options shine brighter and last longer between applications.
