Mytee was founded in 1994 centered around an electric portable water heater, called the Mytee Hot.

Following shortly after in 1995, Mytee expanded it's product line to include carpet cleaning and automotive detailing machines and thus officially becoming Mytee Products.

In 1997, Mytee was approached by Toyota, who was searching for an automotive extractor to designate as the official extractor used in Toyota's Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Program. After months of head to head testing, Mytee's original Grand Prix extractor was victorious, and became the new standard for dealerships and detail shops nationwide.
