Detail King Leather Magic - Cleaner & Conditioner
-
Detail King Leather Magic is a two-in-one cleaner-and-conditioner for automotive leather, a single bottle that scrubs the grain clean and restores moisture to the surface in one pass instead of the usual two-step clean-then-condition workflow. Leather is the skin of your vehicle’s interior. This product moisturizes and nurtures the surface back to health while it cleans.
What’s in the bottle:
- Two-in-one cleaner-and-conditioner: one product handles both steps
- Pint, Quart, and 1 Gallon sizes
- Designed for automotive leather seats, door panels, steering wheels, and shifters
- Can be applied with a microfiber applicator or scrub with water and a soft bristle brush.
- Matte finish when clean. A shiny surface indicates leftover oil and dirt build-up
Leather Magic cleans and conditions in one step, saving time and eliminating the need for a second product. It is best for routine leather maintenance; heavily soiled or neglected leather may require separate cleaning and conditioning products.
Who this is for
- DIY owners who want one bottle for monthly leather maintenance on the daily driver
- Used-car flippers and dealers prepping leather interiors for resale on a tight time budget
- Mobile detailers who’d rather carry one bottle than two for the interior leather step
- Enthusiasts keeping a well-maintained leather interior in shape between major details
Leather Magic vs Koch-Chemie Pol Star: which leather cleaner is right for you
Both products clean automotive leather. They sit at different price points and serve different workflows:
- Detail King Leather Magic (this product): Two-in-one cleaner-and-conditioner formulated for leather. Use it when you want a single bottle that handles both the clean and the condition step on routine maintenance. The budget pick for DIY owners and used-car prep. The right solution for interiors that are not heavily soiled or neglected.
- Koch-Chemie Pol Star: Neutral cleaner that covers leather, Alcantara, AND textile upholstery at 1:5 to 1:20 dilution. Cleaner only (not a conditioner). The premium pick for detail shops working on high-end interiors where the same bottle needs to handle perforated leather, Alcantara wheels, and headliners in a single visit. Also the right choice when leather needs a thorough cleaning.
Pick Leather Magic if: your job is leather-only, you want one bottle that conditions while it cleans, and your vehicle doesn’t need extensive work.
Pick Pol Star if: you work on premium vehicles with mixed surfaces (leather plus Alcantara plus textile), you already condition with a separate product, and per-job cost is more important than per-bottle cost.Specifications

- Multitask like a pro. Save time, product, and labor costs with the Leather Magic Cleaner and Conditioner. Combining the cleaning and conditioning steps is a huge time-saver and very cost-effective for auto detailers. Also great for car enthusiasts working on busy schedules.
- Lift contaminants so they are easy to wipe off. Leather seats take a beating day in and day out. Dirt, dust, grime, and body oils collect in grooves and crevices and gradually build up over time. The Leather Magic will penetrate these areas, bringing grime to the surface.
- Hydrate and restore natural color. Just like cracked, dry skin, leather needs to be moisturized and conditioned. The Leather Magic does just this, restoring leather’s natural color in the process.
- Reestablish leather’s natural scent. One of the best things about leather interiors is the intoxicating natural scent they produce. This lovely scent diminishes over time, but the Leather Magic will bring the aroma back, so that your surfaces smell brand new.
- Perfect for any leather surface in need of rejuvenation. The Leather Magic is great for car seats, steering wheels, and center consoles. But it can also be applied to home furniture, boat interiors, and office equipment. This one product serves all your leather-related needs!

For well-maintained leather surfaces, apply Leather Magic with our Interior Microfiber Towel or Microfiber Applicator. Use a light-colored towel so you can see the dirt being pulled off (a dark towel hides what's actually transferring). Dampen the towel with water and test on a small area first to make sure only dirt is coming off your surface, not color.
- Spray water onto your towel.
- Add a few squeezes of Leather Magic to the same towel.
- Rub the product into the leather surface and work it in.
- Wipe off with a clean, dry towel.
For leather with heavier contamination, switch to a natural horse hair brush. Apply Leather Magic to the brush and work it into the surface to reach grooves, perforations, and stitching crevices. Wipe with a towel when finished.
Reading the result: clean and conditioned leather should have a natural, matte-like finish. If the surface looks shiny after wipe-off, that's a sign of oil and dirt build-up still on the leather. Repeat the process until the matte finish returns.

A dedicated automotive leather product like Leather Magic. It cleans and conditions in one pass, lifting dirt and body oils while restoring moisture to the grain. Use a light-colored microfiber applicator so you can see what transfers, and a horse hair brush for heavier contamination.
-
You need both, but Leather Magic combines them into one bottle. It cleans and conditions in a single step, so you skip the usual two-product workflow. Use it when leather is in regular maintenance shape, OR as the final conditioning product after rescuing a neglected interior that needs heavy cleaning first.
-
Avoid it. WD-40 is a solvent lubricant, not a leather care product, and it can strip finishes and leave residue that attracts dirt. Use a product formulated for automotive leather instead. Leather Magic cleans and conditions in one step without harming the grain or protective coating.
-
No. Leather Magic is formulated for automotive leather, not Alcantara or genuine suede, which require a different product. For Alcantara, mixed inserts, or premium mixed-surface interiors, use Koch-Chemie Pol Star, which is approved for leather, Alcantara, and textile.
-
Frequency depends on use, not a calendar. A daily driver benefits from a clean-and-condition pass every 4 to 8 weeks; a garage-kept car needs it less. Let the finish indicator decide: clean again when leather looks shiny or feels tacky. Over-conditioning leaves the surface greasy and attracts dirt.
