  The Flex PXE 80 12.0-EC Kit is a compact cordless polisher built to make polishing and sanding easier in exactly the places a full-size machine can’t reach. Its slim, ergonomic body drives into tight panels and corners, and a new backing-plate quick disconnect makes swapping sizes the fastest it has ever been. The kit comes with everything you need to take your paint-correction skills to the next level: three drive adapters, three backing plates, two batteries, a charger, and a bag.

  Compact PXE 80 vs a full-size polisher: which do you need

  The PXE 80 and a full-size polisher solve different halves of the same job. Pick by the surface you’re correcting:

  • Flex PXE 80 (this kit): compact, cordless, 3” max pad. Best for tight areas and spot correction: panel edges, pillars, mirrors, jambs, badges, bumpers, motorcycle tanks, and fixing an isolated scratch without polishing the whole car. Its rotary/3mm/12mm adapters cover cutting through finishing in one small package. Limit: the small pad covers ground slowly, so it isn’t the tool for correcting a full hood or roof.
  • Full-size polishers (Gem 15 lb orbital, Rupes LHR21 Mark V, Porter-Cable): 5” to 6” pads that cover large flat panels fast. Best for correcting and finishing hoods, roofs, doors, and full-vehicle work in a reasonable time. Limit: the larger backing plate rides off narrow edges and can’t reach the tight spots the PXE 80 is built for.

  Clear guidance: most correction workflows use both. Run a full-size polisher for the big flat panels, then switch to the PXE 80 to finish the edges, jambs, mirrors, and contours the large machine leaves behind, or for spot-correcting a single defect when a full polish isn’t warranted. For deeper access into recesses and vents, the optional Flex PXE80 Flexible Shaft FS140 Set extends the tool’s reach further.
