Tornador Mini - Z-007
-
The Tornador Mini Z-007 is the pocket-size member of the Tornador family, a compact pneumatic gun that produces the same tornado-funnel airflow as the full-size Tornador Classic but in a body small enough to tighter areas of a vehicle where the bigger nozzles can’t reach. It’s the tool detailers grab when a Z-010 Classic or Z-014 Blow Out Tool is too bulky to angle into the space they need to clean.
Highlight specs:
- 5.4-6.2 CFM air consumption at 90 PSI
- 5,000 RPM free speed
- 0.29 lbs total weight (pocket-portable)
- 7.09” length, 1.34” width
- 94.7 dBA sound pressure
- 1/4” standard air inlet
At 7.09” long and 1.34” wide the Mini fits where a full-size Z-010 or 11.75” Z-014 can’t angle in: between A/C vent slats, under dash trim, into seat-rail tracks, around shift-boot stitching, and along window-channel seams. For broader sweeps across seats and carpets, step up to the Tornador Air Blow Out Tool Z-014 or the Tornador Classic Z-010.
During and after use, place the nozzle into a bucket of soapy water and depress the trigger once or twice to flush dirt buildup out of the cone. This prevents build-up, premature wear, and keeps the airflow consistent over the life of the tool.
Why detailers keep one in the apron
The Mini delivers the same swirling tornado-funnel airflow as the full-size Classic, just aimed at a smaller target, and with a smaller body. The light, pocket-sized body rides in an apron and stays comfortable for the one-handed precision work tight cabins demand. Its standard air inlet plugs into whatever air compressor hose you already run, and it runs quieter than its bigger siblings (though still loud enough to warrant hearing protection).
Z-007 vs Z-010 vs Z-014 vs Z-020: which Tornador do you need?
The Tornador family covers four jobs. Pick by the surface area and task:
- Tornador Mini Z-007 (this tool): compact, dry blow-out for tight crevices. Vents, console nooks, seat-rail tracks, door-pull cavities. Pocket-portable for mobile work and final-stage detailing.
- Tornador Classic Z-010: the original wet cleaner. Pulls cleaning solution from a reservoir and atomizes it into a swirling spray for upholstery, carpets, headliners, and door panels. This is the foam-and-agitation tool.
- Tornador Air Blow Out Tool Z-014: full-size dry blow gun. Wider air dispense for sweeping debris off seats, carpets, and engine bays after a wash. Bigger reach, more volume per pass than the Mini.
- Tornador BLACK Z-020: heavy-duty wet cleaner with more aggressive agitation than the Classic. Built for hardened residue on commercial interiors and fleet seats.
A typical full interior workflow uses the Z-010 or Z-020 for wet agitation, the Z-014 for broad debris blow-out, and the Z-007 Mini to finish vents and crevices the larger tools can’t angle into. For the full lineup, browse the Tornador Tools & Accessories collection.

Yes. The Mini is pneumatic and draws 5.4 to 6.2 CFM at 90 PSI, the same range as the full-size Tornador tools. A 15 to 20 gallon tank is the practical minimum for sustained use. Smaller pancake compressors cycle constantly and cut your trigger time short.

The Mini is a compact dry blow-out tool for tight interior crevices. Its tornado-funnel airflow lifts dust and moisture from A/C vent slats, console seams, seat-rail tracks, and door-handle cavities the full-size tools can't reach. Detailers use it for final-stage detailing, vent cleanup on used-car prep, and precision mobile spot work.

Yes. At 1.34" wide and 7.09" long, the cone nose threads into standard automotive vent grilles, console seams, seat-rail tracks, and door-handle cavities that the full-size Z-014 or Z-010 nozzles overshoot. Reaching those tight spaces is exactly why the Mini exists in the lineup.
-
Use the Z-010 Classic for wet-foam cleaning on carpets, upholstery, headliners, and door panels, since it draws solution from a reservoir. Use the Mini Z-007 for dry crevice blow-out, dislodging dust and moisture from spaces too tight for the Classic's larger nozzle. Many detailers carry both, Classic for scrubbing, Mini for finish work.
-
During and after use, dip the nozzle into a bucket of soapy water and pull the trigger once or twice. This flushes residue out of the cone before it hardens. Skipping it lets gunk build inside the funnel, which weakens the swirl pattern and shortens the tool's service life.
