Tornador BLACK - Z-020
-
The Tornador BLACK (Z-020) is the heavy-duty interior cleaning gun in the Tornador family, an upgraded version of the Tornador Classic Z-010 with a built-in air regulator, and a ball-bearing-guided spiral feed gun. It uses the same water + soap + air tornado spray technology as the Classic, but delivers more cleaning power per pass, uses less soap, runs quieter, and details interiors faster. That makes it the workhorse choice for shops running multiple interior details per day.
The Tornador BLACK uses pressurized air at 75-90 PSI to atomize a water + Interior Super Soap mixture and project it through an oscillating nozzle that rotates spirally on a ball-bearing-guided feed gun. That delivers a concentrated, agitating spray that lifts grime out of cloth seats, headliners, floor mats, door panels, dash vents, and console seams, then drives suspended dirt to the surface for towel pickup. The Z-020 is the wet-cleaning workhorse for cloth, carpet, vinyl, plastic trim, etc. It is NOT designed for the same tasks as the Z-014 Blow Out Tool (dry air only, for debris removal and engine bay drying) or the smaller Z-007 Mini (tight detail work). Run the BLACK for full interior cleaning, then finish with the Z-014 to blow vents dry.

Who this is for
- Shop owners running high-volume interior details who want a faster, quieter, lower-soap-cost workhorse than the Tornador Classic
- Mobile detailers doing full interior recons (cloth seats, carpets, headliners) who need pro-grade wet cleaning power on-site
- Body shop and used-car prep techs who recon interiors before resale and need consistent results across a team
- Serious DIY detailers with a shop air compressor (15+ gallon, 5.2 CFM @ 90 PSI minimum) who want shop-grade interior cleaning results at home
-
- More powerful and efficient than the Classic. Heavier-duty internal parts last longer. The Z-020 uses less soap, less pressure, and cleans quicker than the Z-010. Basically, the Tornador Classic on steroids.
- Built-in air regulator for on-tool pressure control. Change the working pressure directly on the tool and regulate the chemical capacity without walking back to the compressor.
- Air-driven suction feed gun with spiral rotation. Like the Classic, the BLACK uses pressurized air to drive a water + soap mixture through an oscillating nozzle. The feed gun rotates spirally, guided by a ball-bearing design, for measurably more cleaning power and efficiency per pass.
- Lower air consumption and lower noise emissions. Uses less air and runs quieter than the Classic. Less maintenance, less vulnerable to wear and tear over a full shop day.
- Pairs with Interior Super Soap. Interior Super Soap is a low-foaming agent formulated for Tornador air tools. It breaks down dirt and grime, removes odors, and contains darkening agents that revitalize vinyl.
-
- Vacuum first. Pull large debris from the interior before running the Z-020.
- Pressurize the tool. Use an air compressor capable of 5.2-5.4 CFM at 90 PSI, with the regulator set between 75-90 PSI max.
- Fill the reservoir. Add 2 to 3 ounces of Interior Super Soap and top up the rest with water.
- Fabrics: turn the liquid air valve upright to release product, hold the nozzle a few inches from the fabric, and spray in an overlapping motion. Turn the valve down to dry with air.
- Vinyl and plastics: apply at 90 PSI, let it sit 10 to 15 seconds, wipe with a microfiber towel, then chase crevices with the air gun and towel.
You will never want to detail without the Tornador again.

Yes. The BLACK is pneumatic and needs a compressor supplying 5.2 to 5.4 CFM at 90 PSI continuous. Because it runs continuously through a detail, a 15 to 20 gallon tank is the practical minimum. Multi-bay shops should run a 60-gallon or larger 2-stage compressor to avoid short-cycling.

Vacuum loose debris first so wet spray doesn't turn dirt to mud. Add 2 oz of Interior Super Soap, top with water, and set 75 to 90 PSI. On fabric, open the liquid valve and spray in overlapping passes, then dry with air. On vinyl, dwell 10 to 15 seconds and wipe.

The BLACK is a heavy-duty wet interior cleaner. Its atomized water-and-soap spray lifts grime from cloth seats, carpet, headliners, floor mats, door panels, and console seams, then drives dirt to the surface for towel pickup. It's the deep-clean workhorse for shops running high-volume interior recon on cars, trucks, and fleet vehicles.

Interior Super Soap is the formulated pairing: a low-foaming agent for the atomizing nozzle that breaks down dirt, removes odors, and contains darkening agents that revitalize vinyl. High-foaming general cleaners clog the oscillating nozzle and choke the feed gun. Use a couple ounces topped up with water in the reservoir.

Yes. At 101.1 dBA sound pressure, the BLACK is loud enough to require hearing protection for any extended detail. OSHA's permissible exposure limit is 90 dBA over 8 hours, and the BLACK runs above that whenever the trigger is pulled. Wear ear protection, plus eye protection since atomized spray can blow back.
